Following up on my look inside the studio two weeks ago where I shared the hand-carving process of a slate-grey stone monolith, the finished concept came to life for an editorial showcase at Bardmony Estate.
This design is entirely about tactile contrast and dramatic scale. The rough, monolithic stone columns provide a stark, ancient foundation. By layering hyper-intricate lace detailing against a vivid, fluid pop of silk-textured crimson drapery, the sculpture breaks completely away from standard wedding clichés.
It is designed to spark conversation, disrupt traditional expectations, and look entirely excavated from the estate’s foundations.
